The City of Hope recognizes the importance of self-sufficiency. This is constantly an aim of the project, as it resourcefully uses its 13.5 hectares of land, as well as the talents of the creative individuals who live and work here.

A variety of animals are raised on the farm and the crops are organically grown.  All of the farm products, such as eggs, poultry, lettuce, cabbage, tomatoes, maize, onions, in addition to the baked goods prepared by the girls, can be bought directly here at the mission.

Other items produced by the Auxilium Skills Training Centre are also available for purchase. These products range from clothes and bags to hand-dyed fabrics and custom-made outfits. Since the objective of the Auxilium is to help the vulnerable student, specifically single women, purchases of the centre not only improve the skill of the producer, but it also assists them financially, increasing their independence.

The income earned through production goes either to the student and to the Auxilium itself. The Centre uses this money to sponsor at least one student per year and to also improve the facilities for the courses.

Here is a sample of production from the farm and the tailoring course. Come and find us!
