The new school is coming along wonderfully! With the hard work of our engineer Luciano Perisinotto, who is on-site each day, we have managed this large construction in a relatively short time. The building started on the 27 April, 2010.

A tremendous extension of gratitude goes to our donors and supporters who have helped up thus far: Misean Cara, a family trust (who wish to remain anonymous), the Symphasis Foundation through the Salesian Mission Prokur in Bonn, the Rector Major of the Salesians of Don Bosco through the Salesian Mission Office in Spain, the Anglican Bishops Appeal in Ireland, Swedish Caritas, James Nesbitt through UNICEF, the Ministry of Education through the DEBS Office in Kafue, benefactors and contacts of our past volunteers.
Sr. Wilma, Economer General of the Salesian Sisters, is visiting Zambia for five days during this last week of March. We’re happy to host her at The City of Hope.
Pictured to the left is Sr. Wilma with a group of Sisters from the Zambian Region.
Barbara was once a girl living in The City of Hope, a lead singer among the pupils. We are proud and happy to announce her marriage to Jim Zulu on 10 March 2012.
The couple was gracious enough to invite three current City of Hope girls to be bridesmaids in their wedding. Sharon, Stella and Queen, pictured to the right, are all in grade 12.
We wish Barbara and Jim many blessings for their future!
